I do roofing correctly on these old barns. If you have five layers of shingles and Cedar shakes they come off before installation.

Need new siding on your old barn? I only use hemlock. This is what was initially used on old barns. It is naturally treated and lasts for over 100 years if taken care of. Don't settle for white pine that rots in ten years, and has to be painted every 3 years!
